Our drivers are trained in the Smith System, a driver training program that promotes defensive driving, as well as "Coaching the Refuse Driver," a National Solid Waste Management Association training program. Each month training meetings are held to review topics such as safe lifting, hazard communication, accident review, LockOut-TagOut, confined space awareness, spill prevention and control, and many other topics related to trash collection and driving safety.
