Residential Waste Collection Information

Starting June 1, 2008 Republic Services will be the City of Noblesville's waste removal and recycling provider.

In the beginning nothing will change. Your day will stay the same, trash will continue to be taken in bags or containers at the curb and if you participate in the recycling program, you will continue to use the recycle bin that you have today and place it at the curb on trash day.

The City of Noblesville has elected to go to an automated collection system which improves efficiency and keeps costs in check. Automation also makes handling household trash easy, neat, and hassle-free for our residential customers. Automated trucks have a mechanical arm that wraps around a trash cart, and empties the cart's contents into the top of the truck. In the near future (approximately within the next 90-120 days) Republic will be delivering one (1) 96 gallon cart for one (1) time a week trash pick up (if a second cart is needed, please contact us and we will provide one) and beginning automated service. Republic will also provide a 65 gallon cart to each home for recycling that is picked up every other week (EOW) on the same day as your trash. Information will be attached to the carts on how to use the automated service. Updated information will follow as we get closer to delivering the carts and establishing automated service.
