Residential Waste Collection Information
Refuse Handling Services is pleased to announce that we are your new service provider for your residential solid waste. Your collection day will be Tuesday and your first pick up will be February 7th 2006.
Trash Collection
Carts, trash cans, and/or bags should be placed within five feet (5') of the curb or street pavement NO LATER than 5:00 AM on your collection day. This will enable us to service you quickly and efficiently. Pick up hours are 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. All trash to be collected needs to be placed for collection by residents in watertight covered receptacles, not exceeding thirty (33) gallons in capacity and also placed in no larger than a thirty (33) gallon plastic bag or equivalent disposable container. Plastic bags 1.5 MIL strength may be substituted for receptacles. There is a six (6) 33 gallon bag limit per residence per week. Residents must provide their own receptacles however you may rent a 2-wheeled cart (seen on next page) for trash from RHS. The cost for the RHS cart, which is in addition to your monthly waste bill, will be $4.00 per month and is billed separately by RHS.
Holiday Schedule
When the following holidays fall on a Monday or Tuesday your trash pick up will be one day later than usual (i.e. Wednesday). If the holiday does not fall on a Monday or a Tuesday, your collection day will not change.
Example: In 2006, Christmas falls on a Monday. Your trash pick up that week will run one day behind and will be pick up on Wednesday (same would appy to New Years Day 2007)
Carts for Rent
For your convenience, RHS will offer the residence of Waynetown 2-wheeled trash carts for rent. Wheeled carts make trash collection easier for everybody. Carts are stable and will not blow over even in high winds. Lids are attached and snug fitting which prevents pest from getting into them. It also eliminates odors and lost lids. The carts have a smooth interior for easy cleaning and are attractively designed to blend into any neighborhood. Carts are also safer. You no longer have the ned to pick and carry heavy bags out to the curb Just wheel your cart to the curb and you are done! Please contact RHS @ 800-480-3902 to order. Carts rent for $4.00 per month per cart.
